Before June ends...

Wow, it's been a while. We've been busy around here. In May, we ended the soccer season for Jill.

AND we celebrated the SECOND birthday of Miranda May. She is thrilled to be two and is learning about two new words a day it seems! We had a great little party with our family, plus Grandma Crain and cousin Maren. She had a rainbow cake and had a great time with her new toys. She is such a cutie with her new bangs (that her talented mama cut) and she is loving wearing panties like a big girl.

June has almost passed me by! We started swimming lessons and Jill is almost done but Miranda got a fever over the weekend and is missing her second week, so we'll have to reschedule. I'm guessing her molars are coming in since there are no other symptoms and she's as hyper and scheming as ever!

Natalie is approaching her 8 month mark and is extremely close to crawling! She can scoot or roll anywhere she wants to go and gets up on her knees to rock back and forth. She is growing so fast and may soon overtake her big sister Miranda! She still refuses to hold her own bottle though and that better change soon! Well, she doesn't refuse to hold it but she doesn't get any milk in her mouth when she's holding it! She still smiles almost constantly and we LOVE her two teeth grin!

Ben went to Scout camp for a whole week with the boys from our ward to do a High Adventure trip and he of course had a great time.

Since I didn't want to be left home alone all week, I took the girls on a 5 hour drive to Kansas to see my family. We all had a great time and Jill didn't even want to come home! I asked if she'd miss her room and bed and toys and she didn't see why Dad couldn't just bring up all of her stuff later. Riding a horse, swimming in Grandma's little pool, feeding the animals, and all of the other chores are way more fun than staying inside our house watching it rain out the window!

Texas has had WAY too much rain this year and there's flood watches all the time. We are quite sick of it and now feel for those poor people in the Pacific Northwest who have this kind of weather all the time! :) We're longing for the 100 degree, sunny, June days. Hee hee.

We leave a week from today for our big trip to Utah for a big family reunion for my side of the family and a get together for Ben's side. It will be great to see everyone and I hope the kids enjoy all the effort it will take for us to take them CAMPING for the first time!

Ben is looking around for jobs to move up into and I'm just trying to handle life in my big little family!
