Just living my life

I kind of feel like I've already moved. My stuff is all packed and stored mostly in the garage. My house is basically empty except for essential staging furniture. I haven't "hung out" with any friends recently and the only thing that's gotten me out of the house for a week is grocery shopping, church, and a gynecologist appointment. Thrilling. I really need to just start living my life again. I feel in limbo waiting for the house to sell but I really should try to give my children normal experiences like playdates and going to the park. So I'm going to do better!

We're taking a road trip to A-town tomorrow to house hunt some more but basically it's just an excuse to go visit Daddy! We're going to have a sleepover in the cruddy apartment! Hoorah! Should be a lovely experience. :)

A good friend posted on her blog that New Kids on the Block are back together. WHAT!? They're not exactly new anymore, or kids for that matter, but I'm excited to see what they sound like together now. I brought up some old music videos of theirs on Youtube and had my girls come watch. They went crazy dancing, screaming at the cute boys (I showed them the proper technique), and even Miss N was boogying and clapping and giggling! She then proceeded to take off her clothes and dance in her diaper (which I did NOT show her how to do) but it was a lot of good, clean fun! I'll have to take video of the madness next time!

Men's and Women's Brains

You all have to check out this video. It is so hilarious and so true. It helps me understand B so much better! :) http://marriageresourcecenter.org/videogallery/4/med/VideoWidget8.htm

Kansas Trip

We had a fun time going to Kansas last week to visit with family and friends. Ben even drove up from A-town for a day and a half visit! :) It's nice to be home in our nearly empty house. We lowered the price on our house and hope that it moves it quickly. We all want to move to A-town. Even Ben doesn't feel like he's "moved" to A-town -- he's just staying there. So the housing thing is on our minds a LOT but we've managed to have some fun and enjoy our sweet girls. J is acting like a pre-'tween (how did this happen???), M has a vocabulary that grows by the minute, and N is practically running everywhere and she just started to walk! Fun stuff!

Here are some current pics of them.

Still Kickin'

Hey all... we're still alive. It has been CRAZY lately and every member of my family has been to the doctor in the past 3 weeks. Yuck! But I think we're mainly better now. Poor M has a double ear infection now but surely that has to be the end of this cold/flu/sinus infection/ear infection/throat infection misery that has infested our household!

Our house has had several showings but no offers yet, unfortunately. Selling a house in this market is awful. We dropped the price some this week. We've found a house in A-town that we really like but can't do anything about it yet. B moved into a lovely (ha ha) little one bedroom apartment in A-town to start work this past week. It's anything BUT lovely and he's very lonely but he's loving his new job and he'll come home tonight after being gone all week and we are ALL thrilled! Being a single mom is SO draining. I don't know how people do that all of the time. I guess I'm spoiled because I have a husband that helps and when he's not here, I am extremely affected! :)

M and I were sick for Christmas which was miserable but we're going to make up for it next Christmas in our new house where everything will surely be fabulous! :) I keep telling the kiddos that. I really am anxious to just get moving and start our A-town life together! So that's all about us. I'm going to Kansas next week to visit my parents and attend my brother's fiancee's bridal shower, so I'll have a lot of people to hang out with and help with the kiddos. Yay!

I've felt pretty house bound with sick kids and then once they were better, pretty much all of my friends have had sick kids too, so the past few weeks have not been much fun. But it's 60 degrees today and for that I am grateful!!!

My computer died this week (2nd time in two months), so we bought a new computer that should be here soon. As long as my computer holds out, I will try to keep the blog more updated now.
