Miss M is Growing Up!

Miss M celebrated her 3rd birthday on Saturday. She was lucky to get BOTH sets of grandparents, an uncle, an aunt, and 3 cousins to come help her celebrate! We got the swingset put up, a great-grandma bought us a little backyard pool, and we were ready to party! It was a lot of fun having everyone here to party with us and Miss M felt VERY special (which she is)! I love that little girl so much, even when she's driving me NUTTY! :)

More changes!

I've been using our old kitchen table as a desk because Ben has his computer on my old desk in our bedroom but I want to use the table as my sewing table again, so we got an inexpensive glass desk for our "office" area and got it set up last night. We also replaced our awful carpet this week! Last week Ben's co-worker said he wanted to downsize his patio furniture since their kids are all grown and they don't use them much, so we got a great deal on a table and 6 chairs, 2 ottomans, a side table, and a glider! So we have been thoroughly spoiled this month! No more for a long while I think!

Girls girls girls

No one cares that much about the house -- you want pics of the girls! :) I'm so way behind in the picture department but here are some from last night and a few from the past few weeks. Enjoy!
P.S. Yes, I cut bangs on Princess N because her hair was ALWAYS in her face unless I have it up in the fountain ponytail and I didn't do a perfect job because she is not yet the perfect salon client but she's still adorable!!!

Long time gone

I'm finally posting pictures I took of the house a month ago. I've been busy with a trip to Kansas to see my family for my grandma's 80th birthday and then came home to sick kids (imagine that!). We are officially allergic to A-Town I believe. The doctor said this is the worst place he knows of for allergies. GRRREAT! So we're all being properly medicated now and I hope that keeps my kids healthy for a LONG while.

Miss M is going to be 3 at the end of this month and we are so excited because both sets of grandparents, my brother, his wife, and their three kids, are all planning on coming to visit for the weekend! Thank goodness we have a bigger house now but I just hope I can be a great hostess for all of those people! My dad has never seen where we live yet and that really bothers him, so he is going to do his best to be here. He's always so busy with farm life but I hope he can come with my mom.

My new kitchen will start being installed next Monday!!! So hopefully everything will be put back where it belongs and it will be totally functional in time to feed 14 people at the end of the month!

We bought a swingset yesterday and although we had planned on getting a nice, wooden one, both J & M picked multiple times from a list of pictures which one they wanted and it was a large metal one with a lot of swings and other fun things on it. And it was half the price of the one we had planned on! So hooray for saving money AND making the kiddos happy! Now we just have to get one of B's co-workers to use his truck to pick it up at the store and help him put it together! :) We're planning to have a backyard birthday party and play on the new present!

I hope you enjoy the slideshow of our master bedroom and the girls' bathroom. We painted the MB and decorated the bathroom a while ago and haven't done much work since. We're tired of it but we'll get started again really soon. Princess N's room needs painted next! Our Master Bedroom is HUGE and so I tried to do a panoramic view of it for the slideshow but you don't see that there's a ton of space in the middle of the room that's just empty. I like that part of the house! :) There was supposed to be a "sitting area" but it's the part that I dubbed "B's man cave." It's good he has his own space. :) We painted it "streambed" which is a greenish gray color and I love it! I hope the pictures do it justice.

I like how the girls' bathroom turned out because it's so much brighter than before. It's really small compared to the one in our old house and the floor tile is atrocious (ignore that part of the picture) but it's better than it was and B even replaced the nasty faucet with a beautiful brushed nickel one that my mom and brother gave us for a housewarming gift. :) Enjoy!
