April Already
So it's April already! Yikes, this year is going by so fast! Everyone is healthy (knocking on wood) at the moment and sleeping through the night and generally all is good. I am enjoying seeing my girlies grow up, even if it is too fast. A friend sent some books to Jillian for her 4th birthday and she just happened to choose these three Little Miss books that fit my kids perfectly! Little Miss Bossy, Little Miss Naughty, and Little Miss Sunshine! :) I love them all!!! The books are great too! :)
Jillian finished gymnastics and had her showcase last week. You can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdkC6x68l38. It was so fun to see what she's learned and to watch her get distracted by the camera and mess up something she's usually great at doing! :) She had soccer team pictures tonight and that was cute to see these little "Under 5" girls in their HUGE uniforms. They make them tuck in their jerseys for a clean, uniform look but I think it's so that you can actually tell they have shorts on. If they're untucked, they look like dresses that go past their knees! Most of the girls on her team are actually the same height as her, which is unusual, and they are just so cute! Kicking and scoring isn't really their strong suit but who cares!? :)
Miranda is still in the "almost potty-trained" category, doing really well most days. She's even had a few nights where she stayed dry all night! I'm still not pushing it or offering big girl underwear yet. She'll be TWO next month and I can't believe it. She is still my baby but I'm glad she's growing up because it's hard having two babies! She is more of a big helper these days than a baby. She likes to help unload the dishwasher, set the table, push the clothes into the dryer, throw trash away, etc. She says "bye," "shoes," "away," "yeah!," "no," "I stinky (which just means she needs to go to the bathroom--she hasn't had a dirty diaper in a few weeks!)," "I potty,"and "ohhhh" a thousand times a day. She says lots of other stuff too which amazes me. I can't believe how fast a toddler's vocabulary can grow! She has finally reached 25 lbs and is starting to eat a decent amount at every meal time! Yay!!! For one so small, she thinks she rules this place...
Natalie is still my sweetheart! Smiles and coos and squeals and giggles are filling our ears all day. She finally got over her ear infection and has reached 16 lbs. I think she's going to catch Miranda pretty soon! I pinched a nerve in my back and I think it's due to holding, carrying, lifting said beautiful child. But I don't blame her. :) Jill was jumping up and down saying "Boom!" over and over today and Natalie was giggling like crazy. I didn't think it was that funny, but...
Ben had a couple days off last week (Tuesday he took off to watch Jill's gymnastics showcase & Friday was Good Friday). We all went to the Dallas Arboretum with 30 of our closest friends from church and it was so much fun! There was a kids concert, face painting, a petting zoo, hay rides, and of course all the beautiful flowers around! A fun time was had by all.
Easter was enjoyable too. We had our egg hunt in the morning and the kiddos had fun searching. Miranda actually got what we were doing and found hers just as quickly as Jill found hers. They each got 7 eggs and Jill prayed that night that next year the Easter bunny would bring 8 eggs. Ugh! Jill gave a talk in church on repentance and did a great job. She's one of the few younger kids in Primary that gets so excited about giving a talk. I took pictures of her & Miranda staging a fight and then forgiving and praying. They were cute visual aids!
We are very busy all the time and I don't know why. It seems like I just plan one or two things and before long my calendar is FULL! But we're having fun. Have a great day!

Hey Brandi -
I don't have much to say beyond I'm glad to see you're all doing well and I love getting the updates! Keep 'em coming!
I loved those books when I was little! That is so cute that they fit the girls so well. And those titles definitely fit their birth order! (I was a Little Miss Bossy!)
