Miranda: I don't like [insert her friend's name here].
Me: Why?
Miranda: She always picks purple!
Me: That's ok. She can like purple too. But your favorite is pink anyway.
Miranda: No, it's not. I like PURPLE!
Me: Since when?
Miranda: Since about noon.
Me (looking at e-mails): I just need to find the message from [insert PTA person here].
Jill: What's the reject?
Me: Reject? Oh, you mean subject!
(Most of them do have an RE: in front of it!) :)
Our neighbor is a boy named Zack and one of his friends is a boy we sit with at the bus stop, named Dylan. Zack has been having his friends come over every afternoon this week to jump off the roof onto their trampoline. Yeah, scary. Yesterday someone accidentally threw something over the fence and Dylan asked Jill to give it to him. She went to pick it up and handed it to him and he said, "You're awesome! Thanks!" She shyly said, "You're welcome, Dylan" and ran back over to our swing set as Dylan proudly said, "See? She knows me." I could have sworn Jill was blushing. Ah, 5th grade boys!!! :)

That is cute! She might have a crush on him!!
Cute stuff. I hope in the next life we get a "Best of" journaling of all these cute conversations.
That's way cute! I love fun little conversations, we have about a million of those around here with Sydney all the time. She is experimenting with all kinds of new words so hardly anything she says makes sense it seems like! But it's always good for a smile!!!! :)
